The short version: Your Days is built to protect your privacy. Your journal entries, mood check-ins, and personal data are stored on your device and never sent to any server. We collect only basic, anonymous usage data to help improve the app — and we will always be transparent about what that means.

Your Days collects two categories of data:
Data you create (stored locally on your device only):
Anonymous usage data (collected for app improvement):
We never collect the content of your journal entries or the specific text of your check-in notes. Your writing stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
The personal data you enter (name, birthdate, emotions, journal entries) is used solely to power the features of the app on your device. It is never sent to our servers, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or profiling.
The anonymous usage data is used only to understand how the app is being used so we can fix issues and improve features. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
All personal data — your journal entries, check-ins, name, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Your Days uses AES-256 encryption to protect your data at rest.
Anonymous usage analytics are processed by Google's analytics infrastructure. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to any individual user.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
The only third-party service involved in Your Days is Google Analytics, which processes anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Your personal data remains on your device for as long as you have the app installed. When you uninstall the app, your data is removed from your device. If you have created a backup, that backup file remains wherever you chose to store it (e.g. your local files or a cloud storage service of your choice) until you delete it manually.
Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google in accordance with their standard data retention policies.
Because your personal data lives on your device, you are always in control of it. You can:
If you are located in the European Union (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Since your personal data never leaves your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the app. For any requests related to analytics data, contact us at the email above.
If you are located in California (CalOPPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of your data, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. Your Days does not sell personal information. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals because we do not track users across third-party websites or services.
Your Days is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
We take the security of your data seriously. Your Days uses AES-256 encryption to protect your journal entries and check-in data on your device. Your journal can additionally be protected with a PIN of your choosing. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
